There are a handful of shops on the Island selling essential items and of course excellent local produce.

THE ISLAND SHOP, Scalasaig
The shop caters for all your grocery needs from fresh fruit & vegetables, beautiful local produce such as beef, pork, salmon, eggs, and homemade tablet to tasty ready meals and pies. We also stock a selection of local ales and spirits from across Argyll including Colonsay Gin.
Fresh Fish ordered by mid-week can be collected on a Saturday morning.
For those visiting the island why not place an order in advance and we will deliver to your holiday cottage in time for your arrival.

THE COLONSAY HOUSE GARDENS AND CAFE
Open 2 afternoons a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 to 5pm, the beautiful gardens are well worth a visit. The cafe and outdoor terrace overlook the gardens and serve freshly baked cakes, scones and cookies as well as light lunches of soup, tarts and salad leaves grown in the walled vegetable garden. THE PANTRY
Sells freshly baked bread, cakes and biscuits. Also serves light lunches and suppers.

THE COLONSAY SMOKERY
Located in the Scalasaig farm steadings along the road west from the hotel.
Colonsay's fabulous fish smokery supplying smoked salmon and gravadlax to the island and beyond.

THE BOOKSHOP
Located at Scalasaig next to the Brewery, the bookshop specialises in Scottish publications but also has a supply of good holiday reading and children’s books with a distinctly Highland flavour. The Bookshop is open most days 2 until 5pm. Tel 01951 200232.

THE OLD WAITING ROOM GALLERY AND TOURIST INFORMATION POINT
Located at the harbour, the gallery sells art and craft from both local and visiting artists throughout the season. Usually open at boat times, details of opening hours are on the door. Run by Trini Graham-Stewart.

WILD THYME SPIRITS DISTILLERY & SHOP
Home of multi-award winning Colonsay Gin located in Upper Kilchattan along from the Primary School where all our products are available to sample and purchase. Distillery tours and the shop are open by booking online or dropping in during the summer months or by appointment only in the Winter.
