Eating & Drinking
The Colonsay, bar, hotel and restaurant
The place to go for delicious local seafood, meat and organic vegetables simply cooked, all from fresh. Open fires, bare floorboards, comfy sofas, you can choose to eat or drink in the bar, old dining room, log room or restaurant. Children are truly welcome, we offer an enticing menu of fresh proper food, games inside and a garden to play in outside. We are open in the mornings for breakfast from 8.15 to 10, for coffee and cakes all morning, from 12 to 2.30 for lunch and from 6 to 9 for dinner (5 on Fridays and Sundays). We close around 11 unless it’s busy, in which case we stay open! For dinner in the evenings, we can always take people at the last minute. If it’s busy, we have “quick” options on the menu for those who haven’t booked. It is helpful to book on our busy nights but it is certainly not necessary.
We have a great value set price 2 course dinner for pre-ferry travellers on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Guaranteed to be served on time, what better way to end your holiday than with local fare and a pint of Colonsay ale!
We always have a special offer on for Colonsay Holidays cottage guests – a free glass of wine or kids eat free for example. Make sure you check what the latest offer is.
There is the very popular Quiz night on Thursdays, kids DVD night on Tuesdays and on Fridays we have local musicians playing in the bar. Check the notice board outside to see what’s on. Tel 01951 200316

Delicious soup, filled bread rolls, savoury tart of the day served with our own organic salad leaves, teas and coffee, home-baked cakes and ice creams are available. Postcards and souvenirs are also for sale. Tel 01951 200211
