Colonsay's 13th Book Festival is in April. 2026 authors include Mike Berners-Lee, Pàdraig MacAoidh/Peter Mackay, Doug Johnstone and Andrew Miller. It always promises to be a feast of Scottish writing.

Colonsay Spring Festival, 4-7 May 2026
Colonsay is holding its 14th Spring Festival in May 2026. Visitors and locals come to enjoy this magical season and learn more about the rich natural heritage of the island through a whole host of guided walks, activities and events.

Colonsay's folk music festival. Attracting the cream of Scotland's folk music talent, this event sells out very fast!

Colonsay Food and Drink Festival, October 2026 (dates TBC)
The festival brings together a range of experts demonstrating, presenting and tasting amazing food. There is plenty for children, too - baking, jam making, craft sessions, treasure hunt and outdoor activity trails.
